¿LE APETECE UN DIGESTIVO?

El bíter es una bebida espirituosa aromatizada con plantas y hierbas medicinales, los botánicos y métodos de producción utilizados son muchos y variados, y su graduación alcohólica mínima debe ser del 15%.

En la cultura enogastronómica italiana, el bíter es un producto que se difunde indistintamente de norte a sur y se considera un digestivo que se toma al final de la comida.

Aunque existen pruebas de la época de los antiguos griegos y romanos, que utilizaban los botánicos en el vino para curar diversas enfermedades, el antepasado del bíter moderno se remonta al siglo XIII.

Se cuenta que el médico catalán Arnaldo da Villanova, durante el primer jubileo jamás instituido, curó los cálculos renales del Papa Bonifacio VIII con una infusión de hierbas. Esa mezcla de hierbas y raíces puede considerarse el primer «bíter» medicinal de la historia.

La receta fue transcrita en el libro de investigación farmacológica ‘De Aquis Medicinalibus’ por el propio Villanova.

La noticia se difundió rápidamente y pronto monasterios y abadías contribuyeron en gran medida a la creación de nuevas recetas, también con fines curativos.

OLD GENTLEMAN

Un cóctel con elementos sencillos que se funden en una explosión de frescura y crean una compleja sinfonía: Amaro 1904, vodka y zumo de naranja recién exprimido.

Utilizar un tumbler alto lleno de hielo: verter 90ml de zumo de naranja recién exprimido, 45ml de Amaro 1904 y 22ml de Vodka Classics Bad Spirits.

Terminar el cóctel añadiendo soda o agua muy carbonatada, y mezclar suavemente.

Por último, decorar con una rodaja de naranja.
